Create and edit content
Every piece of content starts with a content type. A content type defines the shape of the content - the fields it has, such as titles, descriptions, images and links. Your developers set these up, and they can be anything from blogs and FAQs to navigation menus.
You pick a content type and fill in its fields, either yourself or by asking the Assistant to do it for you. What you end up with is a content item, which lives in your content library until you publish it.

From your content library, click Create Content and choose a content type, then fill in the fields and save. You can add images and videos from your asset library as you go.
The Assistant is there while you work, so you can ask it for help. You can also skip the form entirely - describe what you want to the Assistant, and it will create the content item for you.
This video walks through creating a simple item of content:
Preview contentLink copied!
As you build a content item, a preview shows how it will look on your site or app. Use the device menu to check it at different screen sizes, and toggle the preview on and off with the eye icon. Saving your changes updates the preview.
Previews have to be set up for a content type before you can use them, which your developers do. See Visualizations.
Edit contentLink copied!
To view or edit content, open an item from the content library. Each time you save, a new version is created, so you can always get back anything you’ve replaced. See Revision history.

When content is open in the editor, you can view its properties by clicking the I icon at the top right of the form. The Details tab shows the content type, content ID, publish status and assignees. The Content delivery tab shows the URLs and delivery keys your developers use to fetch the content.
